For more than 10 years, we have been working to promote mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence in Switzerland.
The most significant milestone so far has been the vote on the First Responsible Business Initiative, which took place on November 29, 2020. The Initiative was backed by a broad-based committee of business leaders, politicians from all major parties, church representatives, and NGOs, and was approved by 50.7% of the population, but failed to secure the required majority of the cantons.
Nevertheless, our struggle for an effective due diligence law in Switzerland continues. You can find our new initiative here.
